Description

Therapik® is based on a very simple, scientifically proven principle. Most insect venom is thermolabile (sensitive to heat). Therapik®’s patented technology delivers heat in the specific temperature range necessary to neutralize the venom from over 20,000 different species of insects and sea creatures.

HOW to USE the THERAPIK

1. Place Therapik®’s red cylindrical opening on the affected bite or sting area (do not press).
2. Activate the Therapik® by keeping the large blue button depressed for as long as the heat is bearable on the skin.
3. The average application time is approximately 15 seconds –  30 seconds would really be the maximum. If pain persists, Therapik® may be reapplied to the bite or sting until relief is obtained. The maximum temperature it reaches is 50 C degree.

METHOD of OPERATION

Insect bites inject poisons into the skin. These elements, primarily protein molecules and your body’s histamine used as counter offensive, can cause pain, itching and inflammation. Protein molecules get destroyed well above 50 °C which would burn your skin, but on the heat level of around 45 °C THERAPIK® enhances that the venom being taken off fast by the passing blood flow  –  so the natural dilution process is being speeded up to seconds. This way it reliefs the pain associated with stings from insects and sea creatures delivering thermolabile venom. Such animals and insects include bees, wasps, hornets and jellyfish. In addition, the soothing heat also provides effective relief from the itching and irritation due to flea and mosquito bites and contact with stinging nettles.
